4 DAYS SAMBURU FLYING SAFARI

Itinerary

Day 01: Start of your Safari from Nairobi

We will collect you from your hotel in Nairobi or the Jomo Kenyatta International airport and transfer you to the domestic , Wilson airport for your 09.15am flight *. You will be brought to the airport 1 hour prior to the flight. Board your flight to Samburu Reserve, north of Mount Kenya flying time approx 1.5 hrs:
Upon arrival you will be received and transferred from the airstrip to your overnight camp by the camp's Driver guide in a 4x4 safari vehicle.
The camp is one of the long established properties here, with an enviable location, right besides the Ewaso Ngiro River.
Check into your luxury tents and some leisure time before a delicious lunch in the camp's dining area. In case you’d like a brief siesta, now is the time, just after lunch. Proceed for a Safari Gamedrive late afternoon [typically 3.30pm] during which you explore the surrounding parts of the Samburu and see its amazing wildlife. (The safari vehicle may carry other guests from the lodge).
Return to the lodge by evening [ typically 6 to 6.30pm] in time for dinner.
Overnight stay at Samburu Intrepids Camp.

Day 02: Enjoy Full day in Samburu

Today you have an early rise for your estimated 6.15am Safari game drive during which you will see more of the Samburu’s wildlife. Early morning, and late afternoon are considered the best times to spot animals at their most active.
Return to the camp for a relaxed breakfast – rest of the morning at leisure. The lodge has a swimming pool and also offers a variety of add-on activities, such as nature walks { some optional activities are a extra cost }.
After the sumptuous lunch, take a late afternoon safari game drive before returning to the camp by evening [ typically 6pm] in time for a relaxed evening which may be enlivened by entertainment provided by the camp, followed by dinner.

Day 03: Enjoy Full day in Samburu

Full day at Samburu including morning and afternoon game drives. Rest of the day at leisure. You may just want to relax by the pool or perhaps book an added activity such as a nature walk, cultural visit within the area or a relaxing massage depending on accommodation booked { extra activities at additional cost}. Return to the camp by evening [typically 6 to 6.30pm] in time for dinner.

Day 04: Return to Nairobi

Enjoy an early morning game drive before breakfast. Return to the camp in time for a quick breakfast. Proceed to check out. You now bid Farewell to samburu - as you will be transferred to the nearby airstrip for your return flight to Nairobi [ flying time approx 1.5 hours]. Upon arrival in Nairobi, we’ll have our Driver-guide waiting for you at the Wilson Airport for onward transfer to your hotel or to the International airport.
